Cook Wissahickon Annual 5K

Cook Wissahickon Annual 5K

Hosted by the Cook-Wissahickon Home and School Association (HSA), this annual event brings together our vibrant community for a day of fun, fitness, and giving back. Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, there's something for everyone.

Why We Run: Supporting Our School and Students

Each year, dedicated parents and staff come together to organize the Cook-Wiss 5K, with all proceeds directly benefiting our school. The funds raised support a wide range of essential resources and programs, including teacher training, sporting equipment, library books, technology, and classroom supplies. Additionally, the 5K helps fund the beloved Cook-Wissahickon school musical, ensuring our students continue to have access to enriching extracurricular activities.

Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and community members, we raised over $14,000! These funds make a tangible difference in the lives of our students, and with your help, we can achieve even more this year.

Race Day Options and Activities

Participants can choose between a 1-mile walk or a 5K run, open to both students and adults. But the excitement doesn’t stop at the finish line! After the race, enjoy a lively post-event celebration featuring local small businesses and civic groups showcasing their offerings. Kids will also love the variety of snacks and games available, making it a day of fun for the whole family.
