5K for Future Trailblazers

Organized by the HSA board members, and other volunteers, the Cook Wissahickon annual 5K event brings together our vibrant community for a day of fun, fitness, and family! This day is also made possible by donors, sponsors, and community organizations. Learn more about our sponsorship and donations options here. This year’s 5K will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 8am. This is a rain or shine event.

Join Us As a Participant: Take an active role in supporting Cook Wissahickon by signing up to run or walk in our Annual Run Walk event. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a casual walker, your participation will help raise vital funds for our school.

Volunteer Opportunities

The success of our Annual Run Walk is largely due to the wonderful volunteers who dedicate their time and energy. We invite you to be a part of this rewarding experience by joining one of our event committees. Here's how you can get involved:

Committee Opportunities:

  1. General Planning Committee: Help plan the overall event from start to finish. Ideal for those who enjoy organizing and coordinating.

  2. Sponsorship Committee: Assist in securing sponsors to support the event financially. This role is perfect for those with a knack for business relations or sales. Ready to get started on your own? View and Download our Fundraising Packet including guides, templates, and scripts here.

  3. Day of Event Support: Provide essential support on the day of the event, from setting up to guiding participants.

Corporate Matching: Did you know many companies offer corporate matching programs that can double, or even triple, your impact? Cook Wissahickon School is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, making your volunteer time or donations eligible for matching contributions from participating employers. Check with your HR department to see if your company offers a matching program and how you can request a match for your involvement with our event.
