5K for Future Trailblazers
Organized by the HSA board, members, and other volunteers, the Cook Wissahickon annual 5K event brings together our vibrant community for a day of fun, fitness, and family! This day is also made possible by donors, sponsors, and community organizations.
Why We Run: Supporting Our School and Students
Each year, dedicated parents and staff come together to organize the Cook-Wiss 5K, with all proceeds directly benefiting our school. The funds raised support a wide range of essential resources and programs, including teacher training, sporting equipment, library books, technology, and classroom supplies. Additionally, the 5K helps fund the beloved Cook-Wissahickon school musical, ensuring our students continue to have access to enriching extracurricular activities.
Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and community members, we raised over $12,000! Read about some of the projects we were able to fund here! These funds make a tangible difference in the lives of our students, and with your help, we can achieve even more this year.

This event provides a unique opportunity for sponsors to connect with our school community of approximately 300 families and reach over 100 participants from across Philadelphia, including both seasoned runners and novices.
